Documents below:
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the exceptional players who have earned a spot on a Volley South Representative Travel Team! Your dedication and hard work have paid off, and we are thrilled to have you represent us.
A sincere thank you to everyone who participated in the trials. We understand the challenges of the selection process due to the large number of talented individuals in attendance. Your commitment and effort did not go unnoticed.
After careful consideration, the coaching staff has finalized the travel teams. For those named as non-traveling reserves, we encourage you to continue training diligently, as you may be called upon in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Players were chosen based on various criteria, including commitment, attitude, team compatibility, representative skill level, and flexibility to play in multiple positions.
We're excited to announce that the 15 and under girls' category has been renamed to under 16.
For Dunedin, all teams will be participating except for the men's team. Regarding IPC Volley South, the decision has been made to send the under 19 boys for the 2024 season, with plans to potentially send 1-4 teams in 2025 based on growth and retention during the upcoming representative season.
Please see below for the schedule of training sessions. It is imperative that all players arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time, fully prepared with proper attire and equipment.
We have meticulously calculated the costs associated with training courts, accommodation, transportation, meals, entry fees, and staffing to ensure transparency and accountability.
To support our teams, we have initiated a straightforward $465 social media fundraiser. Details can be found below.
In addition to on-court training, we will be conducting sessions to reinforce the values and expectations of representing Volley South. This includes discussing the code of conduct for players, parents, managers, and coaches.
For any questions or inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tour manager, Donz Milne, at info@volleysouth.org.nz.
We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to a successful season together!
