Cook Islands Beach Games Tour 2027

Expressions of Interest Now Open


Volley South is partnering with Otepuni Volleyball Club to offer a international beach volleyball experience in one of the most beautiful destinations in the Pacific - Rarotonga!

We are seeking "Expressions of Interest" from players interested in representing the club at the Cook Islands Beach Games, expected to be held in mid-January 2027 (dates to be confirmed).

Whether you're a social competitve or intermediate beach volleyball player or looking for your first international tournament, this tour offers an exciting opportunity to compete, train, travel and experience the unique culture of Rarotonga.

Divisions

  • Open Female
  • Open Male

Final divisions entered will depend on player numbers and the competition grades offered by the organisers.

Tour Includes

Your tour package includes:

  • Return flights from Queenstown to Rarotonga
  • One night's accommodation in Auckland on the return journey
  • Six nights' accommodation at The Edgewater Resort
  • Return airport transfers
  • Three meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
  • Tournament entry
  • Official Tournament Uniform
  • Official Travel T-Shirt

Optional Extras

Players will have the opportunity to purchase additional Otepuni Volleyball Club apparel and merchandise.

Own Costs

The following items are not included in the tour cost:

  • Travel insurance
  • Snacks
  • Optional activities and excursions
  • Fuel and travel to Queenstown

Car pooling will be encouraged wherever possible to help reduce travel costs.


Tournament Information

The Cook Islands Volleyball Association has advised that the Beach Games are expected to take place during the second week of January 2027, however official dates are still to be confirmed.

The competition is expected to include:

  • Youth
  • Open
  • Masters

Please note that grades may be combined if entry numbers require.


Expressions of Interest

The tour will proceed subject to sufficient interest. Minimum number required: 12 players

Submitting an Expression of Interest is non-binding and allows Otepuni Volleyball Club to:

  • Confirm player numbers
  • Obtain final group travel pricing
  • Secure accommodation
  • Finalise tournament registrations
  • Provide confirmed tour costs and payment schedules

Estimated Cost


The estimated cost of $3,885 per player is based on current airfare pricing, seven nights' accommodation, three meals per day, return airport transfers, one night's accommodation in Auckland on the return journey, tournament entry, an official tournament uniform, an official travel T-shirt, and all known tour costs at the time of publication.

Final pricing is subject to confirmation once tournament dates, group travel bookings, accommodation and tournament entry fees have been confirmed.

Payment Schedule

To make payments more manageable, the tour cost will be split into three instalments.

  • The deposit is only payable once the tour has been confirmed and minimum player numbers have been achieved.

  • The tour will proceed with a minimum of 12 players.
  • Players will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions once the tour has been confirmed.
  • Payments will be made directly to Otepuni Volleyball Club via bank transfer. Bank account details will be provided upon confirmation.
  • Accommodation is based on the current pricing available at The Edgewater Resort, with alternative accommodation options of a similar standard potentially used should availability require.
  • The itinerary, accommodation and pricing are based on information currently available and may be adjusted should airline schedules, tournament dates or organiser requirements change.
