2027 VOLLEY SOUTH IPC – EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN.

Volley South is beginning preparations for our 2027 Inter Provincial Championships (IPC) Representative Programme, with IPC being held in Wellington over King’s Birthday Weekend 2027.

We are seeking players interested in being considered for:

U17 Girls | U17 Boys | U19 Girls | U19 Boys: EOIs close Friday 25 September 2026.

Expressions of Interest are now open for Invercargill and Southland-based players.

Players who submit an EOI will receive further information about the Invercargill trial and selection programme.

QUEENSTOWN PLAYERS – INFORMATION TO COME

The Queenstown EOI, trial and initial selection process is still to be confirmed. Queenstown players should NOT complete the Invercargill and Southland EOI form. We will provide Queenstown players and families with separate information once arrangements have been confirmed.

SELECTION CAMP & LABOUR WEEKEND TOURNAMENT

Players progressing through the selection process will be required to attend the Volley South selection camp over Labour Weekend.

An important part of this weekend will be our Labour Weekend Indoor KST Tournament on Saturday. All players seeking final selection must be available to play in the Saturday tournament.

The camp and tournament will give our coaching teams the opportunity to assess players in both training and competitive match environments before final squad selections are made.

SELECTED SQUADS – WARM-UP TOURNAMENT

Players selected for our 2027 IPC squads will then compete in an early squad warm-up tournament:

There will be more in 2027.

This will give our selected teams an opportunity to play together in a competitive environment before the Christmas break and continue building towards IPC 2027.

TRAINING COMMITMENT

For our Invercargill-based programme, squad training will initially take place on Saturday afternoons. As we move closer to IPC, an additional weekly training session will be introduced on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening, depending on court availability.

Full training schedules and expectations will be communicated to selected athletes and their families.

Submitting an EOI does not guarantee selection. It confirms that you would like to participate in the selection process for the 2027 Volley South IPC Representative Programme. Players and families should consider the selection, tournament and training commitments before submitting an EOI.
